Indie Outdoors is run by Indie Lyndale an experienced IML (International Mountain Leader ) and has been running for 15 years.
The company started in Devon with activity programmes for schools and colleges in Devon instructing climbing, abseiling, caving, team tasks and navigation, we also run a children’s holiday camp ‘Young Dartington’ this is very different to many activity camps in that it is run on democratic lines in the spirit of Dartington Hall School.
Over the years we have expanded into Europe running Summer walking holidays and winter snow shoe and walking holidays in the Pyrenees and Alps.
Indie has had many years experience running walking holidays in the Pyrenees, Swiss and French Alps. She worked as a freelance instructor for 5 years for Plas y Brenin and Glenmore Lodge as a trainer/ assessor of IML’s in the Spanish Pyrenees and Switzerland. Indie is a member of BAIML (British Association of International Mountain Leaders) it is a professional association whose members follow a code of conduct she was the President of BAIML from 2003-2006. All instructors working for Indie Outdoors are experienced and qualified in the areas that they work in.
