Alpine and Pyrenean Walking Holidays
We have been visiting our favorite areas of the Swiss and French Alps and the French and Spanish Pyrenees for years now and have discovered some great areas with everything you need for a gentle or serious mountain walking experience; fantastic views, good restaurants, bars and accommodation, varied and interesting mountain trails and a wealth of cultural and culinary experiences to be had.
We run trips throughout the year so give us a call to discuss your requirements.
Our centre in the Pyrenees is called Mas Forge. This is an old converted iron forge set in its own pretty grounds with stunning views of the Canigou Massif opposite.
We provide the meals which are of high quality, homemade and wholesome with much of the produce being bought in the local market.
The meals consist of breakfast, packed lunches and in the evening a three course meal. In the summer months there is also a small outside swimming pool and in the evening relax in our own lounge/bar and reflect on the day’s experiences.
An itinerary for a long weekend might look something like one of these;
